It’s About Time

DJI_0002.jpeg

Teresa and I took a hike on a slightly warmer day this week. It was great to get out and hike.

I have not been vlogging this year. Early in the year it was mostly because of the large number of people that were not working and were hiking on the trails. I use my drone a lot for the video I use in vlogs, and so I didn’t want to fly it around all the people.

The second reason was the crown on one of my front teeth looked so bad, and it was getting worse by the day .. or so it seemed.

Let me walk this back a bit. A couple years ago I developed a massive infection. It was all in the gum areas of this crown / tooth. I went to a couple dentist and one of them was finally able to do something about the infection. Sadly, the infection destroyed a lot of the bone structure. The result was that the crown was slowly dropping off the stub of a tooth that it was covering. It looks so bad. I was actually very self-conscious about it and it got to a point where I didn’t like to be on a vlog. I tried so hard to avoid smiling.

Back to today. This week the crown was removed and the tooth pulled. The long term goal is to replace the crown with an implant. For now, they gave me a ‘flipper’. That is kind of like dentures for one tooth. It’s not perfect, but it feels so good to be able to smile without feeling so darn self-conscious about my tooth.

What does this have to do with this photo? I am starting to fly my drone again, and I am feeling the itch to get the vlog up and going. Stay tuned.

What Is That?

IMG_2851.jpeg

I have photographed this sceen many times. It’s amazing how different it looks as the seasons change. This time there was some ice on the river. The bare trees and clouds certaily look like winter, but on this winter day we saw some sun and even spotty blue skys.

The second photo was taken the next day. The temperature was about the same, but it felt much warmer due to the amazing sun. What a nice change. Frankly, I forgot what the sun looks like. 😬

Teresa shot this photo of the Moon behind the trees during a recent hike. This is a very cool photo. I love taking photos of the Moon but I didn’t get this one:).

Clouds And Sun

The clouds look kind of ominous, but the colors from the sun add to the beauty of this landscape photograph.

Make it a great day.

Nature: Never Boring

IMG_2769.jpeg

Small streams, creeks and ponds are special. They are never deep, but offer a beautiful view. Nature is never boring.
