Until Next Time, Paradise

By the time you read this we will be either on the way home, or have already made the journey. We will need a few days to recover from the craziness of flying the ’red-eye’.

Maui is beautiful. I have a second video that is about ready to go. It will feature waterfall photos from around the island, as well as a few other beautiful photos. What an amazing place. Be safe, and have a great day.

Last note for today: Oct 2, is my sweethearts birthday. Happy Birthday, Teresa! ❤️

The parting clouds and setting sun ..

This is one of my favorite photos from Waikiki beach in Hawaii. The sun had set and we were standing on the beach watching the boats and people. The fading light was slow to give way to the darkness of night, but left us with this beautiful scene. The clouds seemed to part just enough to let us enjoy the colors that remained from the setting sun. What a sight.

A storm brewing

It was the last day on the island and it was clear there was a storm brewing. I was standing on the beach, looking toward Honolulu. The view was ominous, with a touch of beauty that I will never forget. A towering skyline, with the glow of setting sun to the west, provided the lighting and colors for the view. The heavy, dark and menace clouds overhead gave way to a cool breeze across the ocean. Through all of this, the beach was still full of people. The sights, sounds, and smells .. it was intense. I am grateful for the opportunity to capture this photo.

By the way, we never did get a storm .. just a passing shower. Nature ...

Fish of many colors

Teresa took this photograph at the Waikiki Aquarium. The fish were so colorful. Most of my photos were not very good, but this one that she took was extra special. Very well done in a tough situation.

A rocky coast, but warm ...

I took this while we were on a tour of Oahu. This rock formation caught my eye. It is very unique. It was windy the day we did this tour, but warm! 

Speaking of warm, it’s getting cold again in Ohio and I could not help myself .. I needed a photo from Hawaii to remind me that we don’t have much cold weather left before spring. It will get warm again, soon.
