This week is a big one for moon observers (yes, that is a pun). Wednesday evening, Jan 31, we will be treated to a supermoon. The moon will reach it’s closest point to the earth in this orbit, and give us a beautiful view. We will also witness a lunar eclipse. That should be visible early on the morning of the 31st, sometime around 6A. The maximum eclipse will be at around 7:37A, and we will not see the total esclise here in Ohio (the moon will set before it occurs for us).
This photo was taken a couple years ago. It is actually two photos combined into one. I have a thing about pictures of the moon.
