I captured this photo early on a warm winter morning this week. The fog was thicker than it appears. Welcome to 2023. I have to repeat that a few more times to get use to it.

This past Saturday morning the fog was intense, but this photo was calling my name. The road just disappears into the fog, and the tree is covered with a light layer of snow. It was not a great day for photos in general, but this shot came out great.

We have had a lot of foggy mornings recently. I took these photos early one morning this week. It made photography a challenge, but there was still some cool scenes to capture.
I think I have written about this before, but I love driving in fog. I remember driving home when I was 17 and the fog was so thick you could cut it with a knife. I fell in love with it then, and love it to this day.

On Valentine’s Day, we awoke to this soupy fog. It really was not bad for driving, but it sure looked cool. It reminded me of a trip to London, England a few years ago. I flew in on a very wet and cool evening, then took a train into the city. The fog was intense. This fog felt much the same way.
When I was 18, I loved driving in fog. Over the years, I never lost that. It feels mysterious. Maybe I’m the only person on earth that feels this way, but I love a good fog.
I took the larger photo above, and Teresa took the other two. Even with the rain and fog, we enjoyed our trip.
