A Fall Sunrise

Adjustments.jpeg

This photo goes back a few weeks. It was right after a local farmer had finish his harvest. It was a cool morning, but much warmer than today. The sun had just risen and the clouds provided a nice contrast to the blue sky. The colors the sun brought to the morning made this a beautiful shot. I sure love the outdoors.

Late Fall Sunrise

Teresa and I drove to Columbus (Ohio) earlier this week. The sunrise was beautiful, so we had to pull over and snap a few photos. I took the top photo, and Teresa took the other two. Beautiful morning. These photos were shot over a 5 minute period of time. The location of the top photo was maybe 2 miles from where we shot the other two.

Beyond The Clouds

public.jpeg

When life is overcast and cloudy, knowing that the sun will set, and then it will rise again the next morning makes me feel better.

I love this: just like the sun, we can start over every day. Sometimes the clouds prevent us from seeing the beauty of the sunset or the sunrise. Often the world feels out of control, but know this: The sun will rise.

And like the sun, we can rise and start every day fresh. Don’t let the day, the negativity of others, or the clouds overhead get you down.

We made it to our destination but there was not enough time left to get many photos. I did a time lapse from the deck, but it was cloudy. I am hoping for a clear sunset tomorrow or at least a couple of times before we have to return home. We have a lot of exploring to do.

The photo above is from the deck of our condo, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This should be a good place to capture some amazing sunset photos and reflect on life’s many sunsets and sunrises.

Just Before Sunrise …

Teresa and I had to take a drive to Columbus (Ohio) yesterday. It was apparent that we were not going to get out for any hiking and photography, so she brougth her camera and we both had our iPhones with us. The 1st photo is just a few mintues before sunrise. The pink and yellow hues were gorgeous.

I took the second photo with my iphone. Amazing what a 60 to 120 second delay looks like just before the sun rises over the horizon.

I was going to edit out the wires, but as you can see, I left them in. :).

The trip was uneventful!

Details in a winter sunrise

FullSizeRender.jpg

I shot this sunrise photo on a winter day last year. I have been going through old photos that I had not posted and found this shot. If you look close, you can see the amazing details in the trees on the horizon. I love a sunrise during the winter.

I am going to try to get out this week and capture some photos of bridges. Watch for those to come soon.
