I don’t know, but this appears to be a family. Waxwings are often found in flocks, so this may just be that, a flock. I saw more in the area.
The parents are monogamous, and I believe the top two birds are a couple. Perhaps the others are their young. That would surprise me, but I need to do some research.
I found them near the Miami River, just south of the Farrington Reserve. I love how the sky looks like a sheet of paper. It was a cloudy, glumly morning.
