It's crazy how beautiful a Blue Jay is and yet so loud and obnoxious. I was thankful this one stopped long enough for me to capture this photograph.

There was two Green Herons but I was slow .. so one chilling on a wire, and one flying away .. a quick exit.
Just before we saw this pair, I was telling Teresa that I had not seen a green heron yet this year .. and then I see them.

We are still seeing a lot of cardinals. This one flew accross the trail just a few feet in front of us, then stopped long enough for this photo. If you look close, I think he smiled for the camera. 😬
