Greenville Creek

This is Greenville Creek. It sure looks like a river at this point. Just south of this location, it is a beautiful falls. I was testing the limits here. The wind was really strong, and I was nervous about flying the drone. It all worked out.

A honey of a hike

I took this photo at Honey Creek Preserve on Friday morning. I was about 51°F, but it was such a beautiful day for a hike. The creek was pefect, and the water was so clear. The mosquito? Not so fun.

The video below was from this hike. We enjoyed it, and hope you do to.

A river or a creek?

FullSizeRender.jpg

Last week I posted a few photos that were taken at Greenville Falls State Nature Preserve. There is a lot more to this preserve than I previously knew about. I’m hoping to get back this week and explore. This is one of my favorite photos from the overlook. This is Greenville Creek .. It sure looked like more than a creek in this photo. If I took this photo in September, you would understand the naming.

Have a great week!

A dry creek and a monument

So what do you do when the Creek is dry? You build a monument, or course.  It was really hot and dry. Little pools of water dotted the otherwise dry earth.

We didn’t see much wildlife, but in this small pool of water, I found this crayfish (crawdad). We danced for a while .. I would move and try to get it to come out and play. The dance continued for some time, and then I decided it was time to move on. I did mange to get this photo.
