Wise, Old Heron

We saw this Great Blue Heron fishing .. or resting. Either way, he did not stick around long once we showed up. I believe this is an older male. Wise and very cool.

The photo did not come out great, but It was great to see him.

Still Waters

Teresa captured this shot earlier this week. This is the Stillwater River. I really think this is one of my favorites spots. Its just off Rangeline Road. It is always peaceful.

Blue Sky And Winter Hiking

Teresa and I took a hike along the Stillwater River yesterday. This was at Maple Ridge Reserve. The sun was warming, but there was a chill in the air. We saw a few Robins, and one hawk, but did not get any good photos. I do like this shot of the river and the winter shadows.
