We Have Water

You don't have to walk far to find lots of water this week. The Miami River is running really high and all of the 'sometimes' ponds are fillling up quickly. Prepare your boats.

Extra water

Teresa took this photo earlier this week. This pond was frozen, but it was starting to melt. I was shocked at the water levels. I don’t recall seeing it this high in the past.

For reference, the second photo below was taken earlier this past fall. The difference: other than temperature and the color of the grass ... at least 18 inches.

Spring rain ... early

The Great Miami River

The Great Miami River

April showers have come early, and the river is high. This is the Great Miami River, and it’s over its banks this week. The photo below is of the Stillwater river. The rain has stopped for today, but it is still in the forecast.
