A Red Head

I added this photo to the video I posted a few weeks ago from Hawaii, but I did not share it here. This was a comon site ... the roam all over the island. I didn’t try to count them, but they were everywhere. This dude was loud too. I loved his colors .. and that red was so bright. He looked lean and mean.

I took this shot on our 2nd drive to Hana. I should have used my wide angle lens, but this worked. There was so much to photograph here. Amaizng spot.

The Colors of Hawaii

The colors of Maui, and Hawaii in general are amazing. There are places where it is just plain, but when you get out in the rain forest, it is not just lush, it is bright. This flower is just one example.

Lush Landscapes

This is a cool photo. We took it along the Road to Hana, but I can’t tell you the exact spot. The lush greens, and the winding river is a beautiful video. Framing this image was tough. I wanted to capture the wider photo instead of just the water. I had the wrong lens on my camera, and didn’t have the right lens with me. My bad.

Aloha, Maui!

While we were in Maui we had several opportunities to capture the sunset. It was beautiful every time, but most nights there were a few clouds that kept us from getting a ‘perfect’ photo of the sun setting over the ocean.

The reality is, I love the clouds. They add an extra dimension to the photo. Here is a couple examples.
