Lush Landscapes

public.jpeg

This is a cool photo. We took it along the Road to Hana, but I can’t tell you the exact spot. The lush greens, and the winding river is a beautiful video. Framing this image was tough. I wanted to capture the wider photo instead of just the water. I had the wrong lens on my camera, and didn’t have the right lens with me. My bad.

A little hope ..

Teresa shot this photo as we drove through West Virginia this past September. This is Mount Hope. I love that name, and the view. Stay warm, and safe.

Natures lighting

FullSizeRender.jpg

It was cloudy and Teresa was driving the rental car. We were in Nevada and at places, the clouds allows rays of sun to create some interesting shadows across the mountains. This shot captured that well. I love the highlights on the top of the mountain, as well as across the valley floor .

Some of the best photos are simply a matter of using nature’s lighting (and shadows) to create awesome effects on the landscape.

Scenic drive ... 😲

FullSizeRender.jpg
IMG_0325.PNG

This photo was taken on a scenic drive through Kolob Canyons. The lighting was not perfect, but what a view. Kolob Cayons is in the the north-west portion of Zion National Park

As you leave the visitors center, you take this winding road, ascending the mountain terrain. As you come around an early bend in the road, you see this view. It is jaw dropping stunning. I can’t express the size and beauty of the view. The map shows the dive from the visitors center to the overlook area.

Virgin River Gorge

FullSizeRender.jpg

Some people may look at this photo and see rocks and mountains. I look at this view and see grandure and beauty. Teresa and I drove through the Virgin River Gorge yesterday. Every time I take in this drive, I am overwhelmed by the the size and magnitude of it all. It’s majestic.
