It may look like a colorful maple tree .. but there is an amazing story I need to share. A few days ago, we drove out to Big Woods to see how the colors were looking. We walked around for about 45 minutes to an hour. About 30 minutes into the walk, I noticed my wallet was not in my pocket or attached to my iPhone. (It connects to the magsafe on the back of the iphone). I figured I left it in the car or maybe I did not bring it.
We hiked back to the car ... it was not there. Now I am getting concerned. We look where I had walked and found nothing so we went home only to find it was not there either.
Have you every questioned your sanity? I mean your memory. We started checking every place I had been that day. You know, maybe I was wrong about putting it on my phone and in my pocket when we went to Big Woods. We went back to Big Woods and could not find it. Called Kroger (I used it there earlier) .. nothing.
This wallet does not hold a lot of stuff. I only carry three cards in it. Two credit cards, and my drivers license. I get notifications every time my cards are used so I knew no one had picked it up and used any of them.
That was a long evening but we gave up for the day. I did freeze my AMEX card. The next morning, I cancelled my Apple Card and ordered a replacement. The way this works for the Apple card is amazing .. so cool and simple. I'll have to tell you about that sometime but for now. I also orderd a replacement dirvers license.
Six or seven hours later a gentleman came to our door with my wallet. He and his wife found it at Big Woods. Get this: He was concerned that I may be concerned that he had taken my cards out to ID me. He assured me that he had not used them or anything. I was just thankful to him and his wife for caring enough to make the effort to find us and return the wallet.
There are still honest, good people in this world. This tree is a reminder of the beauty of honesty and integrity. LIfe is good.
