We saw this Northern Shoveler in Utah. I thought one of us would have a shot of a front view, but all the photos we took were profile views.
In describing this duck, wikipedia put it this way: “This species is unmistakable in the northern hemisphere due to its large spatulate bill.” (wikipedia).
They have great color and an odd bill.
