While hiking along the Stillwater River at the Stillwater Prairie Reserve I caught a glimpse ot a Great Blue Heron flying south over the river. I wanted to capture a photo but the trees and foliage were prohibitive.
We hike for a couple of miles, then came to a spot where we could get to the water. This location was actually not far from where I had seen the Heron and hour earlier. To my surprise, when I looked to the south, I could see this beautiful Great Blue Heron in the river. How beautiful. I guess I just needed to ask her to wait for me.
