This Downy Woodpecker seems to enjoy suet cake. I thin we have seen the same bird feasting on it several mornings this past week. I guess he is a suet connoisseur.

We have. not seen many Northern Cardinals lately. I photographed one was a few days ago at Big Woods. It is not the best photo but I love cardinals. We hope to see more of them soon.

I was totally surprised to see this Belted Kingfisher this week. It is a male. They are a samller bird and I almost missed him. He didn't stick around long, but I was sure happy to see him.

Check out this Red-bellied Woodpecker. I love the top photo. I am not sure he was lookng at me, but it sure appears that way. he didn't take off.
