Looking Around

It has been a while since I captured a good photo of a Red-bellied Woodpecker . I captured this photo a couple weeks ago. He was just looking around and taking it all in.

Smile For The Camera

I think the Red-bellied Woodpecker is a cool bird. They are not just colorful .. they climb trees so fast, and perch in such a cool posture.

This is two diffferent birds, photographed on two different days this week.

They both seemed to be smiling for the picture 😱.

Birds And The New Year

DSC_3331.jpeg

We saw several Red-bellied Woodpeckers this week. I guess the birds were all preparing for 2021.

Happy New Year to everyone. Have a great day and a wonderful 2021.

Seeing Double?

No, you are not seeing double. Teresa shot both of these shots. The top was a pair of Red-bellied Woodpeckers, and the second photo is of a pair of male Cardinals. Capturing a photo of a single bird of this size at a signficant distance is difficult due to focus issues, but to get two, in with all the tree noise is extra tough. Well done, Teresa. ~ Rick *** Rick’s latest technology muse: *Check out our vlog, which includes more pictures and video on YouTube at [tales.photos](https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCFQDGQDunrIlKumTDIMUKwg). Finding Food

DSC_2981.jpeg

When it snows, we start to see more birds hanging out at the bird feeders. That was the case with this Red-bellied Woodpecker . He seemed please with his find there.
