We have seen a number of Downy Woodpeckers this past week. They don't seem to mind the cold weather. Yes, it is cold.

This Red-bellied Woodpecker climbed to this nice perch and then just looked around for what felt like an hour. He was so intense about it. It gave me a lot of time to take photos of him.

Woodpeckers are great and this Red-bellied Woodpecker is not expection. What a beautiful bird. It was cloudy so its not my best work, but I still love this photo.
