A slap of rock, a road, and a river

Teresa captured this photo of the Virgin River. This is but a small span of the 160 miles the river winds through Utah, Arizona and Nevada.

The Virgin River is a tributary of the Colorado River. It does not look like much but what does this look like from space?

I don’t know, but the view to the right is the gorge from 20,000 feet. You can pick out the river, carving it’s way through the rock. Kind of amazing. (Source: Wikipedia)
