I am about 99% confident that this is a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. Yes, it is a member of the woodpecker family. I have never photographed one around here before. In fact, I have never photographed one anywhere.
In the second photo, you can make out the yellow-washed underparts. It’s not a great shot, and you have to zoom in to see it. Trust me, it is yellow. That is the key to Identifying her.
