Just looking for breakfast ...

I have been trying to get this photo for two weeks. This hawk hunts around Garbry Big Woods. I have seen her several times, but I have not been in a place where I could get a photo. On this morning, she was waiting for me, so I pulled over and took the photo below.

I drove further up the road, and came back to get another photo .. but she took off. She didn’t fly far, landing in the tree where I took the photo at the top of the page. This is such a beautiful creature.

I love hawks. I may have left this one with a complex .. this Mini Cooper kept following her around:).

A hawk and a blue sky

I took this photo a few years ago. This hawk was clearly hunting. It was early in the day, I was hunting with my camera.  

A few days ago, we were at the Greene in Beavercreek and a hawk, slightly smaller than this one, flew right in front of us. It had caught a rodent and was flying with it’s freshly caught dinner to someplace to eat.
