Mr Ugly

Teresa photographed this Turkey Vulture last week. I still find them ugly but such beautiful flyers but down right ugly.

Duck … Incoming 💩

No, it's not a duck, but I was concerned about incoming bombs from overhead.

Mr Ugly Is Back

If you have followed me here for long, you know I have often refered to Turkey Vultures as 'Mr. Ugly'. I guess I don't really dislike them, but I did find them ugly. The Black Vultures are not any more attractive. They are graceful flyers, but just not good looking.

This is the second one we have seen in the past week. Spring is right around the corner. I know there are going to be baby eagles in several nest near us any day now. I expect to see Red-winged blackbirds sometime in the next 3 weeks or so. I saw a Carolina Wren this week too. This wren does not migrate, but we rarely see them around here during the winter months.

Bring on spring!
