We don't usually see a Blue Jay on the ground like this but there was some bird food from the feeder on the ground and he was on it.

I could hear them while hiking, but could not tell how many there were or locate any of them. I guess I could say this on many hikes, but the Blue Jays were so loud and active.
After looking for what seemed like an eternity, I saw this one. I love the colors. So beautiful .. and yes, so loud.

Not my best Blue Jay photo, but this was a difficult photo, and a tougher edit. I tried to get a better view, but he was just not moving. I did the two feet shuffle but nothing worked. He was not as loud as they normally are either. It was fun in a blue jay sort of way.
