Yes, this is a American Goldfinch. I certainly did not expect to see him at 15°F in eaely December. Wow.

We had a lot of fun watching this Dark-eyed Junco. She was super interested in the bird seeds but positioned herself to block the feeder from other birds. I guess this was her personal buffet.

We have seen a number of Downy Woodpeckers this past week. They don't seem to mind the cold weather. Yes, it is cold.
