Cold & White

It happend. I think we got about 5.6 inches of the white stuff, and a lot of wind. It has been very cold. The low today in Piqua was -10°F. This is a trail we often hike when it snows, but not today. It looks like a white Christmas but also a very cold one too.

Long Shadows And Snow

Yes, there is a pond under that snow. They say its about to snow more, but we will see. I love the blue sky and the contrast with the snow. The shadows are cool too ..

Feeder Hopping

We have been bouncing around the county to various bird feeders to capture the birds feeding. I guess we call that, ‘feeder hopping’.

We had a lot of snow the night before I shot this photo. This Tufted Titmouse was checking out dinner. He would land, then take off about as fast as he arrived. About 5 inches below where she is setting a woodpecker was enjoying a snack. It was a busy feeder.

A Sparrow, Snow and Sunshine

This is the best photos I took this last week. I love the depth in this photo. There is a lot of detail.

It was a cold day, and the snow had stopped. The sun arrived to warm things and the birds were very active for the fist time in days. I love this.
