A Loss

You may wonder how these two photos are related. Cardinals are so special. I think of them when I feel down or when I experience the loss of someone close to me. I think that is even more true as I take more and more photos of this beautiful bird.

The second photo is Teresa and Roxie about 13 years ago. We were excited to have a new puppy in our lives. Roxie .. what a wonderful dog. Sadly, we lost her this week. She was suffering and it hurt to watch. It hurt to say good bye. This post is just my way of expressing my love to a wonderful friend. Love you Rox.

Birthdays Of Loved Ones

Mom would have been 93 today. She departed this life 22 years ago. To say I miss her is an understatement.

I see post form friends that have lost their loved ones as well .. so today's post is a beautiful Northern Cardinal for all of the empty places in hearts everwhere. Hugs to all, and I love you Mom!

Color me Jay

I photographed this bluejay at Garbry Big Woods. She looks very young and had tons of energy. Life is still mostly in front of my feathered friend (well, maybe she does not consider me a friend, but I sure admire her colors).

I received word today that a good friend passed away. The picture below was taken at CES in Vegas this past January. I so enjoyed visiting with Kevin. We talked frequently by phone, on twitter, or by text. He was always so positive and full of energy. He always had these great one-liners, and there was always a story. I will truly miss Kevin. RIP, my friend.

Life is so frigile. It was a year ago this week that I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Today I am clean, but you never know. Enjoy the moments my friends. Hugs.
