The last few times I have photographed a Mourning Dove the photo did not come out at all. This one is much better.

We saw several Mourning Doves this week. This one is has a nice winter coat on and is looking warm. Yes, it is still winter .. spring can't come soon enough.

There is something very peaceful about a [Mourning Dove](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mourning_dove). All the other birds were flying around us, but this dove just sat there so peacefully. Perhaps it is a meditating dove. I know I find I feel better when I take some time to clear my head and be more mindful. I’ll call this the lesson of the dove.
