I See You

This is as close as face to face as I have come. Clearly those eyes were looking at me.

Fly Away

The same American Kestrel was at in his favorite spot again. This time I got a ptoto of him making a fast exit. Look at those talons. Small, but a bird of prey on the hunt.

Kestrel

I have been trying to capture a photo of this American Kestrel for weeks. He keeps showing up on the wires near Big Woods .. and when we get close, he takes off. This is the best shot so far. I will keep trying.

Happy New Year!

Are You Following Me?

I was following her. I was between locations when I saw this Red-tailed Hawk flying north in front of me. I just followed her to the next tree, then stopped on this country road and snapped photos. She didn't move right away, so it must have been my lucky day.

Pole Hopping

This Red-tailed Hawk spent some time playing a game of pole hop with us.. We would stop in the road to take a photo, he would take off, fly a couple poles down the road, land, rinse and repeat.. Very funny.
