Vibrant Red, Drab Gray.

This male Northern Cardinal sure stood out. I could see a red spot in the trees from far away. So beautiful.

Chillin’

We are still seeing Dark-eyed Juncos. We expect to see the first of the migrating birds any day. I also expect to see 'eagles on eggs' in our local nest any day too. I guess we are going to have a cold air mass 1st, but I am ready for spring.

Plotting Her Lunch?

I am like 95% sure this is a Red-tailed Hawk but the angle didn't help confirm that. I see a little red in the tail so that is the key.

She sure looks hungry.

Never Boring

Squirrels are never boring. This one is a Fox Squirrel. She was funny and I laughed as she checked us out. Cute.
